On January 19, Coach Jenna Wong officially stepped into her new role as the Assistant Director of Athletics. In this brand-new position to the Athletics Department, Coach Jenna works to oversee administrative tasks with Upper School Sports teams, supervise Middle School Athletics, and provide support to the Athletics Department in general.
Coach Jenna holds a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration and serves as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, Middle School Athletics Coordinator, and President of the Middle School Interscholastic League. She was chosen for the role of Assistant Athletics Director after an internal search process. Coach Alice Lee, Athletics Director, said: “She’s capable, competent, and compassionate—all the things you would want in this position.”

So far, Coach Jenna has adopted her new responsibilities with enthusiasm. Isabel D-L. ’26, this year’s Associated Student Body (ASB) Athletics head and a member of the Varsity Volleyball and Track teams, recently had an on-campus celebration for her official signing to Carleton College: an event that Coach Jenna helped organize. Of Coach Jenna’s efforts, she noted, “I did not expect [the celebration] to be as big a thing as it was, so I really appreciate her.”
Right now, Coach Jenna is excited for the future of Westridge Athletics. “I just see us growing more in all of our sports. I see all of them going to CIF. I see them all competing for Prep League championships. I see more participation, and more commitment, and more excitement,” she said.
With all the new changes that the Athletics program has undergone this year, players, parents, and coaches have much to look forward to. “Coach Jenna and Coach Alice are a great team, and Westridge Athletics is just going to keep getting better,” said Isabel.
