A Year in Review: Westridge Looks Back and Forward at its DEI Efforts

Westridge published their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) planning strategies in January 2020, located in the Westridge Strategic Plan. Among other initiatives, the DEI plan includes: increasing DEI training for all Westridge constituencies, identifying biases in curriculum, and creating a plan to increase student body and faculty & staff diversity.

Across the United States, Covid-19 vaccination rollout is ramping up. As of February 28, providers are administering about 1.74 million doses on average daily, likely enough to get us to what experts call “herd immunity” by October of 2021.

Barbara Ferrer, Los Angeles’ Public Health Director, revealed on Tuesday that the county’s stay-at-home order will most likely extend through July. But many were already disregarding quarantine orders long before this announcement.
