Spyglass’ 2024–2025 Editorial Board

Spyglass recently elected the new 2024–2025 Editorial Board with Ella B. ’25 as Editor in Chief, Tanvi C. ’25 as Managing Editor, Reed D. ’25 as Website Designer, and Mirella C. ’25 as Social Media Manager.

Editor in Chief

Editor in Chief Ella B. ’25

Ella is excited to take on the role of Editor in Chief in her sixth year of Spyglass after her role as Social Media Manager this past and Editor the previous two years. “Spyglass has been a big passion of mine since I started in middle school,” she said.

Next year, she is looking forward to creating a greater sense of community like current Editor in Chief Eliza W. ’24. “I’m excited about building camaraderie, not only within the Upper School staff, but also the Design Team and the Middle School…Not all of us get to be in the same room at the same time, but I want to build that community and make Spyglass, the elective and the program, more than just journalism,” she said. Ella hopes to accomplish this through encouraging involvement in the Et cetera section, continuing columns, Spyglass Live, and other creative Spyglass endeavors.

Managing Editor Tanvi C. ’25 (Tanvi C.)

Managing Editor

Tanvi hopes to strengthen the relationships within Spyglass and create a more welcoming environment and leadership team. “I want to try to be a little more approachable in leadership positions and make sure that everyone on staff feels like they can come to their editors freely because I was very intimidated by leadership in past years,” she said.

Additionally, Tanvi would love to enter Spyglass into more competitions and help get students’ hard work on articles as well as artwork acknowledged. “This past year, we’ve had a lot of success with awards, which is very well deserved…I want to make sure it’s recognized more.”

Website Manager Reed D. ’25
(Reed D.)

Website Manager

Reed wrote a statement about her next and second year as Website Manager: “I am thrilled at the opportunity to serve as Spyglass’ Website Manager for a second year! The website has undergone a lot of changes since I started working on it as a freshman, and I can’t wait to see its continued evolution. I’m looking forward to expanding our multimedia content, mentoring younger staffers who are interested in the website, and experimenting with new ways to engage with our readers. Being elected for this role again is an honor, and I am committed to making Spyglass’s online presence the best it can be. Cheers to another year!”

Social Media Manager Mirella C. ’25 (Mirella C.)

Social Media Manager

Mirella wrote a statement on her role as Social Media Manager next year: “I’m excited to spotlight more of our hard-earned editions but also bring Spyglass to life with behind-the-scenes clips or et-cetera-like content. Every single moment deserves to be shared because they’re reading our stories, and our stories are not just the final article but also what comes before it. I’m also thankful to Ella for jump-starting our social media presence, and I can’t wait to get started.”
