In a similar fashion to The New Yorker, readers are asked to submit a brief caption, comedically reflecting the scene depicted in the comic. All readers are eligible for submission, but we ask that you only submit one entry.
First, congratulations to Lower & Middle School Physical Education Teacher Karen Hanselman for her winning entry in the last edition. Her caption “So, the kraken is organic, but is it gluten free?” stood out in our newsroom as funny and fitting for California culture. She will be receiving a Spyglass tote bag and sticker as the first-place prize.
The winner for the May Edition will be announced in our next edition—the first of the 2024–25 academic school year.
